2020 Marching Rams Update:
Due to Distance Learning in the fall -- and moving fall sports and other activities to the spring -- our summer 2020 band camp had to be canceled. Mr. Smith will be working with Band Boosters and Riverside administration to plan for how to adjust marching band activities to fit the new spring timeline. Official statement from LCPS:
“Due to the move to all Distance Learning for the first quarter, Marching Band activities for LCPS have been moved to the spring. Spring Marching Band activities would be considerably scaled back from what is typically done but could, at a minimum, include a group that could support the football program and school community to some extent while building a cohesive group of students to form the foundation of the following marching band season.”
WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP:
Comfortable closed-toe shoes
Water bottle (with name)
Lunch if necessary (see below)
Students are encouraged to take a break and leave during their lunch break between 12 and 2. However, if a student does not have the ability to go home, town center, etc., they may bring their lunch and eat at a permitted school location

Forms must be filled out and turned in to Mr. Smith on the 1st day of Band Camp. To download the forms, got to the Required Forms page.

Student Communication -- "REMIND": The Drum Majors use the "REMIND" messaging service to communicate directly with your student. Please check with your student to make sure they are on the current Marching Rams Remind. To receive the messages, text @rvhsmarc to 81010.
- From Director Bram Smith: For band program updates, Mr. Smith primarily uses "Charms" -- a music education data system. The sender will appear as "Riverside High School Band - Charms Office"
- From Riverside High School Band Boosters: Booster communicates either through "Charms," or firstname.lastname@example.org (Boosters officers may also send out emails with the "riversidebandboosters.org" domain name. e.g., @email@example.com)
Band Facebook Pages: Please be sure to follow on Facebook, because this is the best way you can get the most current updates on events, posted photo galleries, etc.
